The people from Mecklenburg are noted for being stubborn and pigheaded. However, the truth is we are amiable conversationalists who enjoy experiencing beautiful unspoilt landscape. Living close to the water shapes the lifestyle in our region. Short distances to work, area-wide offers for child care benefit both family and working life. Only one hour’s drive by car from Hamburg, just under two hours to reach the capital city of Berlin. You work in the immediate neighbourhood of the university Hochschule Wismar with its more than 30 courses of study and some 6,000 young students. Here and in nearby universities the minds needed to provide fresh thinking to your companies are educated. Time and again the TGZ organises meetings, establishes networks, calls in students to the centres and brings researchers and companies together. A number of project ideas and foundations in the TGZ were created in the first place out of this lively mix. And this is how it should continue in the future.
