Focus on technology branches

The companies that settle in the TGZ are predominantly from the following branches: medical engineering, IT/software, sensor technology, analytics, hydrogen technology and multimedia. The result is an exceptionally generative branch and know-how mix. Contacts are made, new prospects open up, brand new cooperation opportunities become possible. The Wasserstoffkompetenzzentrum (hydrogen competence centre) in Schwerin is a perfect site for companies that research in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies and implement the results in business activities. On the other hand the multimedia port in the Technologiepark Wismar provides a place for multimedia technology companies.

A further site advantage: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is classified as one of the EU’s highest subsidies target areas. Our Land specifically promotes technology companies and networks from industry and science. From 2007 to 2013 the two large EU structure funds EFRE and ESF are providing 155 million euros for industrial research and technology development.
